Leeson painted motors can replace many boat hoist motors.

1. Check motor horsepower and frame size (see pictures left).
2. Check motor manufacturer.
3. See Wire Size Chart (below, see Instructions) to ensure proper wire size.
4. See wiring diagrams (below, see Instructions) to connect Leeson motors to factory Boat Hoist USA wire harnesses to ensure proper wiring.
5. Ensure that the capacitor (the large box on top of the motor) is in the same position as the motor that you are replacing to prevent problems with mounting.
6. Make sure that the motor that you purchase can be used with the voltage at your lift (115V/230V).
