Dual boat davits allow for a boat to be lifted with stability by picking them up in the bow and in the stern separately. These boat davits can also be installed to rotate, in order to bring the boat in and away from the water for better access in cleaning and fueling. Typically, a single cable from one davit picks up the bow, and a spreader bar is used in the stern to attach two cables at the stern of the boat. The length of the davit spreader bar is determined by how far apart the eye-hooks are in the stern of the boat. Cable drops can be used with this spreader bar in order to make sure that the spreader bar is far enough away from the boat to clear any equipment or fixtures on the boat.
